"Taking the Stress Out of Buying or Selling Your Home"

Terri Collins is a career real estate agent associated with Coldwell Banker Preferred, Realtors since 1994. Terri has been in the real estate business for the past 25 years, and is powered by a highly experienced real estate team that makes it their top priority that all details are anticipated and executed.

Born in Bakersfield in 1954, the first of five children, Terri was raised with traditional values and a propensity to work. She was educated in Catholic schools where she enjoyed Cheerleading, Student Council, Yearbook Marketing, and keeping score for the baseball team, and attended Bakersfield Junior College where she earned her AA degree in Liberal Arts with a minor in Spanish. The college placed Terri in an afternoon job in a local real estate and insurance office to help pay for a USC summer study program she took in Spain. She loved her job as file clerk to the insurance department and was soon familiar with the names and owners of many of the local business and became an insurance underwriter after graduation. Intrigued by the excited comings and goings of the realtors in the office she obtained her license, and was asked to sell homes for her office´s new construction division. Knowing that she would be working long and hard from then on, she convinced one of her sister to take a crazy USA tour with her for the summer before the subdivision opened in the fall. She returned eager to learn about selling new homes. Selling out the entire 67 home subdivision in her first year, she moved on to sell new condominiums in the gorgeous Rio Bravo Resort area for the next two years.

When she decide to sell pre-owned homes, she was quickly recognized for her hard work and ethics by being awarded the coveted Salesperson of the Year Award for the Bakersfield Association of REALTORS® her very first year, and still holds the record for being the youngest person to have received that distinction. Always a believer in continuing education, she graduated from the John Lumbleau, Dale Carnegie and IBM sales trainings, as well as Relocation Homebuying and Homeselling Assistance programs and attended classes to stay on top of the latest tax laws and financing programs available.

She gained computer and leadership skills while serving the Junior League of Bakersfield for ten years active duty, and continues to be active in the community through Junior Achievement, Juvenile Hall and is an immediate past PTA president at her children´s elementary school. She is frequently represents the real estate industry as a speaker in public symposiums, and in newspaper articles.

Always full of ideas and striving to continue being a leader in her profession, Terri is constantly upgrading her hard and soft systems to help her clients through the latest technology. She was among the first to have a web site on the internet and has developed a team of buyer's agents and assistant's who work hard tracking the marketing and escrow processes to keep their clients fully informed and make the moving experience as easy as possible. They run a separate office within the Coldwell Banker office, complete with a computer network, scanner, color copier, fax machine, and laser printers in an effort to maintain a highly efficient operation.

Terri specialize's in executive and "turn-key" homes in Bakersfield's best neighborhoods, especially Seven Oaks, Haggin Oaks, The Oaks, River Oaks, Grand Island, and Riverlakes.

Terri and Patrick have been married 20 years. They have two children, Sean and Kelsey. The Collins are very involved in soccer both with their children, and at CSUB. They enjoy the beach and Lake Tahoe, and Terri especially loves to garden and cook, in fact she just cooked her first dinner for 500!
